"I wouldn't still mind one day getting a sports car of some kind."But what kind?
What kind of driving do you mostly do? What are your local roads like that you mostly drive on, storage space, stick or automatic, power vs cornering, weather ect?
I do mostly local small city driving to the supermarket so I needed a hatchback and traveling to the big city sometimes (Seattle-Tacoma) and an automatic transmission is better for traffic jams. We have some winding twisty roads but I'm not on them often so cornering isn't as important as accelerating on freeway on ramps. We get a lot of rain so a convertible isn't a priority for me.
I ended up buying a 1989 C4 Corvette cause the price was right and the C3 Corvettes didn't have overdrive.
Its identical to the Vette in this video except for Washington State license plates and I have the tinted see through roof panel.

My son-in-law has a Chrysler Crossfire cause it was his Grandfathers.
